After another terrible date where a woman rejected him for his penis again, he finds himself having to walk through a city park in the middle of the night to find a taxi. As he rushes through the park, he hears what he thinks is a dog after a squirrel when he discovers it’s really a goblin hunting a faerie. After he rescues the poor faerie, and takes her home to recover, he discovers the reason why he can see the fae is because he is the latest in a long line of descendants carrying a perverse curse. The original curse was inflicted on the Emperor of Germania, ‘Cheldric the terrible,’ by Merlin the Magician himself after the Saxon raped and killed the elfin queen, Olandrea.
The curse meant several fae races could only breed through the cursed man, one they call ‘The Itteelum,’ which is elfish for ‘seed carrier.’ For faeries, gnomes, brownies, and some nymphs can breed by having sex with him and taking his seed into their bodies. At the same time, trolls and goblins can only breed by planting their seed in the Itteelum’s body. Tom learns this curse was extended by dark magic, as it was meant to die when Cheldric did. However, the elves are using the curse to destroy the races that stand against them with a slow genocide. So they can have ultimate power over all fae and, eventually, man.
Tom and a seer named Melinda discover their lives are more intertwined than they ever imagined. While Tom is Cheldric’s heir, Melinda is the warrior’s soul mate’s descendent. A with called Everild. Together they start unraveling the truth behind the curse and find themselves traveling to an island existing out of time due to an enchantment made by a witch called Morgan Le Faye. They’re going to the island to find Merlin, who is still alive.
Will Merlin think they’re Cheldric and Everild, killing them before he even hears their story? This story starts where Book One ended. Happy reading.
